Is there summer reading for AP English Literature?
Yes, students are assigned to read Hamlet (Shakespeare) and answer 30 study questions and complete a handout explaining how to select and write 25 quotes with analysis. They will also read Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky) and complete reading study questions (182 total questions-short answers) 

Will there be practice AP tests during the year?
Yes, each quarter there will be practice multiple choice and essay question exams during class.

How much reading will there be each night?
Students should expect to read between 25-40 pages from a novel each night to keep up with class assignments.

Does every student have to take the AP Exam in May?
Students must take the AP Exam in order to earn the weighted AP grade.

Who pays for the AP exams that students must take?
If you are a student enrolled in a DODDS AP course, then DODDS pays for the exam.
