Middle school (MS) students can participate in the following sports: cross country (fall), wrestling (winter), and track and field (spring). The MS students, however, do not compete for competition points nor can they travel to away games. Youth services sports are also available to MS students to include soccer, swimming, basketball and baseball. |
Depending on how many weeks are remaining in the quarter, transcripts/grades from the previous school are used in calculating the student’s grade for a particular subject. |
Seminar is a non-credit course that meets every other day. Students are expected to work on homework from their core and elective classes, as well as receive tutoring from individual teachers and get make-up work from excused absences. In addition, the MS runs an intra-mural program (organized sports) once a week. |
The MS team consists of teachers in the core class in both 7 th and 8 th grades. The team approach insures greater success for each student, as teachers meet regularly to discuss student concerns. Additionally, if parents want to meet with teachers, then they can contact the team leader at each grade level and a meeting can be arranged with all core teachers present. |
